One meaning of the term "bracketing" is "to place within." This concept of "placing within" is a helpful strategy that students and adults can use to identify and appropriately deal with distracting thoughts.
In stage one, students decide whether their current thoughts are appropriate for the task at hand. If they are not, students can bracket them in stage two.
It is very helpful to teach students (and adults) to classify thoughts into three groups:
Now: appropriate to follow up on now, i.e. thoughts that promote full engagement in the lesson or other current task. During reading, for example, a "now" thought would be about the content of the reading (reading comprehension) or about ways to stay focused on reading.
A "now" thought about comprehension of a history text assignment could be, "There are three branches of the state government, and the governor is the head of the executive branch of the government." A "now" thought about the process of reading could be something such as, "I didn't understand what I just read…I need to read that again."
Later: appropriate to pursue, but not now, for example, an interesting related idea, a clarifying question or an important task to perform. A "later" thought might be, "I wonder what laws our governor is in favor of? I could look that up on the internet." Another example is, "I forgot to talk to my English teacher. I have to do that after school."

Learning how to weld is really not that difficult. Most welders learn arc welding first. The easiest way to start welding is simply by practicing. You can pickup a cheap arc welder from somewhere like harborfreight tools. It will cost you under $120.
You will also need a welding helmet, welding gloves, a heavy jacket and some welding rods. Take my advice, spend the extra money and get an auto darkening helmet. It will make learning so much easier. You will also want to get a supply of scrap steel to practice on. This can be picked up at a scrap yard.
Now that you have all the supplies, its time to weld. Find an appropriate area, somewhere outdoors, without anything flammable around. Secure your scrap steel to some kind of table at a comfortable working height. Attach the ground to the steel. Place the welding rod in the other clamp. Put on your heavy jacket, gloves, helmet and thick pants. Turn on the welder, set it at somewhere around 80 amps to start with.

In the city of Kansas City, MIssouri, an unholy alliance exists between one reading teacher at Troost Elementary by the name of Williams, and the Missouri Department of Social Services, one Jason Campbell to be exact. Mr. Campbell, and Ms. Williams have joined together, to remove children from loving homes, and have them placed on medication. These children are removed from their homes, they are placed with specific case-workers. These children are placed in specific homes, where they are "broken down", This basically amounts to brainwashing, and beatings. They are isolated from their siblings, not allowed to see their families, or even talk to their families. The school district and the state has turned a deaf ear on this issue.
between 1990 and 2000 there were 186 deaths from methylphenidate to the fda medwatch program, this is about 10 to 20 percent of actual incidence. state and federal government has been told numerous times about the methods used in the miss-diagnosing of thousands of children with ADD-Attention Deficit Disorder and ADHD Attention hyperactivity disorder and psychotropic drugging of children with ritalin and other drugs. Schools across the country are threatening parent with loosing their children if they don't put them on medication for adhd. In the Kansas City , Missouri school district, there is a partnership between the department of social services and schools, to remove children from homes, and place them in foster care, for the sole purpose of placing them on medication. *Here are some facts that are being withheld from parents that could possibly alter their life decisions and outcomes.
